Harsha Gowda is a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in computer and network security. With over 17 years of relevant experience, Harsha has a proven track record of developing software solutions using a range of technologies and programming languages. Currently working at Activision, Harsha is responsible for developing backend online services and multiplayer game features deep within game engines, working across game studios and development processes. Harsha's technical expertise includes C, C++, computer algorithms, data structures, network protocols, cryptography, embedded technologies, and OS internals. He is also proficient in web and cloud (AWS) technologies, with skills in JavaScript, C#, Golang, HTML5, CSS3, SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and In-Memory DB's. Harsha has worked under Agile methodologies for the past eight years and is well-versed in concepts like TDD, SOLID principals, and design patterns. Harsha has designed and developed automated systems for integration tests and smoke tests using C/C++, scripts (Python, Apple Script, bash, etc.) running under VMware and Parallels, and integrated the process to Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems. He has also worked for Carbonite and Webroot as a Software Engineer, where he developed endpoint antivirus solutions and device drivers using Windows APIs and GDI.
