Harsha Kodnad is a Director of Technology at Tally Solutions Pvt Ltd, with over 23 years of experience in the software product industry. He is currently leading the development of Tally's new generation products and technologies, using his expertise in designing, architecting, developing, and delivering multiple products and releases. Harsha started his career as a Software Engineer at Kannada Ganaka Parishad, a non-profit organization that focused on bringing the Kannada language into computers. Here, he developed the Nudi Software and contributed to a few standards for Kannada related to the Karnataka Government and Unicode. At Tally Solutions, Harsha has played various roles, including Leading the Centre of Excellence for Client Products and playing the Key Architect role. He is passionate about product development and has participated in the evolution of Tally Definition Language, which led to the development of Tally.Developer 9 Product, a brainchild of his that helped in creating a strong solution ecosystem for Tally. Harsha is a thought leader in the software product industry, and his thought-provoking articles on design and development of software products have been published in various publications. He has been honoured with numerous awards from various institutions, including the National Manthan Award, Delhi Karnataka Sangha, and Raman Ratna from RIIIT. He has also received the Tally Ratna - Emerald Team award and the Impact Expert of the Release award. Harsha has the depth of working on close-to-wire cutting edge technologies like lock-free data structures to serve on the cloud software to working on designing innovative user experiences. He is a passionate programmer and still loves coding. Harsha holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Board of Technical Education, Karnataka.
