Harshal Mittal is a recent graduate with a strong background in machine learning and software engineering. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Atlassian, where he is part of the Jira Server to Cloud Migrations Team. In this role, Harshal is responsible for developing software that enables customers to migrate their data from Jira's server offering to Atlassian's cloud offering of Jira. Prior to joining Atlassian, Harshal gained valuable experience working as a Research Intern at Samsung and as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Flutura Decision Sciences & Analytics. During his time at Samsung, Harshal built two frameworks for anomaly detection and integrated them into the company's AI platform, Cerebra. He also used algorithms from a research paper in machine learning and statistics to improve the algorithm runtime for large data sources. At Flutura Decision Sciences & Analytics, Harshal worked on two AI group projects and hosted regular machine learning competitions while also conducting workshops. Harshal holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He has a strong skill set in problem-solving, algorithms, and ML fundamentals and tools. His tech stack includes Software Engineering, ML, Research Scientist, AI, Pandas, and Mobile. With almost three years of relevant experience, Harshal is a dedicated and hardworking professional with a passion for software engineering and machine learning. He is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow in his field.
