Harshal Parekh is a Senior Software Developer at Visa with over 4 years of relevant experience. He is an engineer with a passion for software development, and his expertise extends to technical direction, architecture advice, knowledge sharing, and team encouragement. Harshal is highly skilled in designing and developing software around stories, with a focus on finding solutions that work for humans, nature, and innovation. In his current role at Visa, Harshal leads projects in the newly established Innovation Wing, where he is working on a confidential internal platform. He also led the development of Athena, a rule-based gateway agnostic validation engine, which is now covered under a Visa Patent. Additionally, he worked as a Full Stack Developer for Minerva, an internal tool helping hundreds of developers, testers, and managers. Harshal's expertise extends to designing systems and API structures, writing sleek, high-performing, and low-overhead Java code, and designing beautiful, intuitive UIs using Stisla. He has learned the importance of teaching others what he knows, and his experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University has allowed him to give back to society.
