Harshan Jayakumar is a passionate learner and R&D Development Engineer at Dassault Systèmes. With a keen interest in ideation, concept creation, and realization, he is highly experienced in mechatronics systems, robotics, CAD/CAE, discrete event modeling, machine tools design and development, hydraulic and thermal systems, CFD, IOT, and computer vision. Harshan has worked on software tools such as AUTOCAD, CATIA, PTC Creo, Solidworks, ANSYS, ABAQUS, and COMSOL for CAD/CAE purposes as part of his academic projects. He is interested in developing real-time simulation systems in cross-domains employing numerical computation, machine learning, computer vision, control systems, IOT, and computational visualization. With an understanding of programming languages such as Python, C, C++, C#, JAVA, and libraries/tools like Arduino, MATLAB/SIMULINK, OpenCV, VTK, and Raspberry Pi, Harshan is confident in developing cross-domain simulation systems. Harshan has previously worked as a PGET at L&T and as an Intern at Siemens, where he worked on digital enterprise portfolio development through integration of digital twin-like predictive modeling and dynamic tolerancing modules inside SIEMENS NX. He worked across NX-code development, industrial large-scale dataset analysis, recommendation tools using relevant ML libraries, and local & network database programming (MSSQL & Azure), and IOT (Mindsphere and Teamcentre). Harshan successfully integrated external local and network servers into NX code for data and blob storage purposes along with intermediary Python analytics engines for performing real-time data analysis on user interactions. Harshan holds a Master of Engineering in Engineering Design from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kerala. He possesses skills in computer vision, OpenCV, ML, Python, infra, Java, C, designer, MSSQL, Azure, and integration, with 2.78 years of relevant experience.
