Harshil Mathur is the CEO and co-founder of Razorpay, a leading neobanking company in India. With a mission to simplify payments, Harshil started Razorpay in early 2014 after discovering the dismal state of online payments in India. Together with his friend and partner in crime, Shashank Kumar, Harshil has taken Razorpay to new heights and is now backed by top investors including GIC, Sequoia Capital, Ribbit Capital, Matrix Partners, Tiger Global, and Y Combinator. Before starting Razorpay, Harshil worked as a Wireline Field Engineer at Schlumberger. However, his passion for entrepreneurship and his desire to make a difference in the payments industry led him to quit his full-time job and start Razorpay. Since then, Harshil has been at the forefront of the company's growth and success. Harshil has a Bachelor of Technology degree from IIT Roorkee and has completed the Y Combinator program. He also has a strong educational background, having completed his XII from Seedling Public School with a focus on Science and Maths. With 8.04 years of relevant experience, Harshil is a seasoned entrepreneur and leader. He is passionate about simplifying payments and helping businesses grow.
