Harshil Sokhadia is a highly experienced Software Engineer with expertise in ML and distributed systems. He is currently working as a Software Development Engineer II at Flipkart Data Platform, where he is responsible for designing and developing ML Platform services on GCP from scratch. Harshil's technical skills include Python, Java, MySQL, HDFS, Spark, Kubernetes, and Docker. Harshil has a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. He has experience working with large-scale systems and has a deep understanding of distributed computing and scalability. At Flipkart, Harshil owns TAAS, Modelhost, Meta Service, and Hosted Notebooks, which are critical components of the ML Platform. Prior to Flipkart, Harshil worked as a Senior Software Engineer at SAP Leonardo IOT, where he developed critical features of the SAP Learning Management System on Android Application. He also led the team of scholars/interns to complete the "Learning Path" project, which was a request from PM and was done besides the day-to-day job. Harshil also designed and implemented a custom reports migration/testing tool, which converts and validates reports written in PS/SQL to SAP HANA SQL. He also owned the Resource Management Microservice end-to-end, which included design, development, quality, and operations aspects to manage and clean up resources held by other services in the system like HDI Containers, Kafka Topics, Cold Store Containers, Cassandra Key-spaces, etc. Harshil has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information and Communication Technology with hons. in Computational Science from the Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology. He has a strong technical background with expertise in Java, Spring boot, Kafka, Spark, HDFS, and more.
