Harshita Singh is a highly skilled and experienced security specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the Networking & Security Industry as a Security Consulting Engineer and Security Researcher. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is seeking full-time roles starting December 2022. Harshita has expertise in threat intelligence, User Privacy, Application Security, design and implementation of Cisco Security solutions, Risk Management, and Cryptography. She graduated with a B.Tech in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology in 2018 with a minor in Intelligent Systems. With over 4 years of relevant experience, Harshita has a strong background in network planning, design, and operations, security proficiency around firewalls and VPN, technical troubleshooting and debugging, programming in Java, C, C++, and Python, engaging cross-functional teams for efficient delivery, penetration testing & secure code review, machine learning and natural language processing, cloud computing, Docker & Kubernetes. Apart from her professional interests, Harshita is also actively involved in mentoring women in STEM and is a part of WoF BoF Special Interest Group at FIRST.org. She has previously worked as a Security Engineer at VMware, where she collaborated with a team of security researchers in Penetration Testing and partnered with teams to mitigate the vulnerabilities in VMware's WorkspaceOne. She has also investigated open source vulnerabilities and evaluated risk using industry-standard CVSSv3 to provide corresponding remediations based on the evaluation. Currently, Harshita is working as a Cyber Security Intern at VMware, where she is coordinating the investigation and remediation of security issues in VMware products and open-source and third-party software included in VMware products and services. Harshita's education history includes a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology. She also attended D.A.V. School in Patna. Harshita's technical skills include research scientist, NLP, Kubernetes, Docker, ML, Python, and Java. Her experience and expertise make her a valuable asset to any organization in the cybersecurity industry.
