Harshita Srinivas is a final year student pursuing her Bachelors in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from IIIT Delhi. She is a full-stack web developer with experience in the MERN stack. Along with her technical skills, Harshita is an open-source enthusiast and is currently mentoring applicants for the Outreachy internship program. She is also exploring research projects in Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning. Harshita's passion for learning and growth is evident in her work. She values determination and is always eager to take on new challenges. Currently, she is working as an Outreachy Mentor for the December'22 cohort of Outreachy internships under CNCF OpenTelemetry. Previously, she has worked as a Community Coordinator and an Outreachy Intern at CNCF, where she was one of the 71 students selected for the prestigious open-source software program from a pool of 3500+ applicants worldwide. Her work involved implementing performance tests using Java Microbenchmarking Harness (JMH) to improve the overall performance and user feedback of the OpenTelemetry instrumentation library. She also analyzed and compared the performance of OpenTelemetry with its subsidiary OpenTracing library by writing tests, generating reports, analyzing performance data, and utilizing community feedback. Harshita's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from IIIT Delhi, which she will complete in 2023. She also holds a High School Diploma from Venkateshwar International School, India. In addition to her technical skills, Harshita has experience in software engineering, web development, deep learning, natural language processing, research, and machine learning.
