Hassan Karraby is an experienced Application Security Engineer currently working at Cisco. With over 28 years of relevant experience, Hassan has become an expert in his field. In his current role, he is a member of the AppSec team within the Security and Trust Organization, where his work primarily focuses on conducting security risk assessments of cloud service providers. Hassan's daily duties include evaluating the security posture of cloud applications and services, covering several domains of cybersecurity and recommending improvements based on data classification requirements. His goal is to help attain and maintain compliance with information security policies, standards, and guidelines. Hassan has worked with several organizations in the past, including Seagate, where he served as an Application Security Professional. In this role, he was responsible for the security compliance of migrating all Seagate applications (internal and Cloud) from using CA SiteMinder SSO to Oracle Access Manager(OAM) platform. He performed more than 200 distinct security vulnerability assessments/audits as part of the go-live directive from various organizations such as IT, Supply Chain, Factory, Finance, and HR. He was responsible for requirements, specification, installation, maintenance, and license management of IBM AppScan Enterprise Application Vulnerability tool used by the IT organization. Hassan holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University. He is proficient in AWS, Salesforce, and is a Senior Software Engineer. Hassan's expertise in cybersecurity and his experience in conducting security risk assessments make him a valuable asset to any organization.
