Hemant Jethwani is a Senior Manager Software Engineering at Gap Inc. with over 11 years of experience in various stages of SDLC. He has worked in the E-commerce, Retail and Investment domains using technologies like ATG Commerce, Rest Web services, Spring Boot Micro-services, Java, J2EE, Oracle and various open source frameworks like Kafka and MongoDB. Hemant is a goal-oriented and self-motivated individual who believes in Agile as the way of work. He manages the performance of software professionals across multiple product groups and is passionate about diversity and inclusion, which he believes is at the heart of highly achieving teams. In his current role at Gap, Hemant manages a cross-functional team providing a business solution that enables the allocation of the right product to the right store at the right time in the right numbers for maximum yield. He works with Program Managers, Product Owners, and Architects to kick off and solutionize new portfolio deliverables. Hemant also works with Scrum Masters and Scrum teams to scope, design, and oversee the delivery. He is responsible for team needs and hiring needs for the yearly portfolio and technical deliverables. Hemant works in partnership with Directors and Senior Leadership on strategizing the team management. He is also an integral part of the D&I council, working on various initiatives throughout the year to champion inclusion. Prior to Gap, Hemant has worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Gspann Technologies, Inc. and as a Senior Software Developer at Oracle. At Gspann, he mentored team members on ATG framework, worked on enhancing the existing e-commerce implementation for the client, and exposed e-commerce functionality as rest services for omni-channel user experience. At Oracle, he mentored new team members on ATG concepts, worked on finalizing the technical requirements on the basis of product management team’s functional requirements, and drove the development of a module forming the part of the bigger product development. Hemant holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. He is well-versed in Java, SQL, Web, Microservices, MongoDB, Kafka, Spring Boot, Spring, Azure, Redis, Javascript, DevOps, Search, Docker, MySQL, UI, and Backend. Hemant has 12.87 years of relevant experience in the field of software engineering.
