Hemant Joshi is an experienced technologist, serial entrepreneur, and angel investor with a successful track record of founding and scaling startups, building enterprise products. He is currently the Founding Member of sprih, where he is exploring and building technology solutions to counter climate change. In addition, he is also a Managing Partner at Pentathlon Ventures and a Volunteer at 14trees Foundation. Hemant has a diverse background, with over 33 years of relevant experience. He co-founded In-Reality Software, Pune India in Jan 2003, where he grew the company to about 150+ employees and 15 ISV customers in about 18 months before it was acquired by Symphony Services, a Palo Alto, US-based Software Services Company in October 2004. In-Reality was focused on providing Outsourced Product Development (OPD) services and incubated several product development teams for US-based startups such as NetApp, Iron Mountain, EMC, Mimosa, Kazeon, Mendocino, etc. He also volunteered at 14Trees Foundation, an NGO working on ecological restoration of barren land via reforestation and water conservation. They also create employment and social entrepreneurship for the local tribes. Hemant has a Post-graduate program in "Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and Nature Conservation” from Ecological Society, Pune, completed in March 2021. He also has a BE in Electronics & Telecommunications from College of Engineering Pune, completed in December 1987. He attended New English School, Satara, for his early education. Overall, Hemant is a highly accomplished professional with a passion for technology and sustainability. He has a proven track record of success in building and scaling startups and products.
