Hemant Kumar is an accomplished Robotics Software Developer with a passion for designing and developing innovative robots that respond to a set of commands and follow a person around while maintaining a safe distance. He has a degree in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and possesses relevant experience of 1.78 years. Hemant has a proven track record of conceiving and executing full-stack development of robots, including creating ROS architecture, writing complete codebase, and running Gazebo simulations. He has designed and hardware modeled a 4WD skid-steered prototype robot, tested, and successfully deployed the software stack on it. Hemant has also planned and set up a centralized git-based source code and doc management repository for his current company, Aliyance Mechatronics, while aligning stakeholders within the startup. In his previous role as the Head of Embedded and Hardware Team at Swarm Robotics IIT Kgp, Hemant designed and developed the hardware and low-level software stack of a multi-agent distributed robotics system consisting of ground and aerial vehicles. He experimented and implemented decentralized swarm algorithms such as shape formation, leader selection, following the leader in a line, allotting ID, etc. Hemant also designed low-level control PCB for ground robots to control motors using PID control, read sensory data, monitor and batteries. Hemant has also worked as a Software Developer at the National Digital Library of India, where he developed a VS Code extension in NodeJS to capture user's code reading behavior for quantifying the developer's productivity. He collected various features from the interaction of users with the IDE such as scrolling and temporal events, switching between multiple files, range of active selection area, cursor spatial position, and features from IDE configuration such as active window dimensions and position. The collected data is exported as a real-time XML stream for further analysis and processing along with the data from Eye Gaze Tracker. Hemant's tech stack includes Software Engineering, OpenCV, NodeJS, and Decentralized technologies. He is a highly motivated and dedicated individual with a passion for robotics and technology.
