Hemant Negi is an experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer at VMware, with a passion for Kubernetes and making microservices less painful. With over 9 years of experience as a full stack Web/App Developer, Hemant has a wealth of knowledge in architecting and designing data-driven products from the ground up. Hemant is proficient in a variety of programming languages, including GoLang, Python, and JavaScript, and has experience working with various SQL/No-SQL databases, search engines, and in-memory/caching/queuing storage systems. Hemant's past experience includes working as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at VMware, where he was responsible for setting up and maintaining resilient infrastructure on public clouds, primarily AWS and Azure. He also set up and maintained HA Kubernetes clusters for dev and production users, wrote several K8s controllers for infrastructure automation, and managed incidents and enabled teams to handle them properly. Prior to that, Hemant worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Google OSDC, where he worked on Google's internal sales tools and implemented a thread-safe ordered cache in Go. Hemant holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Uttarakhand Technical University and completed his Intermediate studies in Mathematics and Computer Science from Kendriya Vidyalaya.
