Hemant Verma is a highly skilled and passionate engineer with over 3.62 years of experience in the field. He is currently working as a Software Engineer I (SDE - II) at American Express and has been fortunate to be a part of great engineering teams. Hemant is a creative and solution-oriented engineer who has participated in multiple design and solutioning discussions to build the Enterprise Communication Platform aka Raven from scratch. Raven delivers around 30M+ compliance-enabled communications volume daily and is horizontally scaled at 1.5K TPS. Hemant is a strong communicator and has a very positive attitude. He is vocal with his ideas and never hesitates to present his thoughts to the bigger forum. He takes complete ownership of multiple services and is always reachable for any issues and ready to jump on to solving them. Hemant has mentored many new joiners and helped them to pick things up faster. Hemant drives things independently and has been part of many solutioning discussions, providing valuable inputs. He actively participates in design and architectural review meetings to solve complex design problems. Hemant has designed and implemented solutions to avoid duplicate communications to customers using Postgres Triggers. He has also designed a generic framework to process data in batch from multiple sources like SFTP, REST API, etc. using S3, Apache Kafka, and Postgres. Hemant has worked with various technologies, including Postgres, Kafka, Microservices, Redis, Java, Python, ETL, and Docker. He has also worked on Mobile and ML projects. Hemant has a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee.
