Short version: I work on a product which is an internal version of Amazon EC2

Long version: I work on the EC2 Core Platform Capacity Life Cycle Team. We build tools that enable Amazon teams to order and manage their hosts.

The hosts are basically classified into 3 types 
1. Legacy - which is the legacy un virtualized bare metal hosts connected to prod/corp fabric
2. MAWS -  Stands for Move to AWS and is used by CDO(other than AWS) ACC(Apollo Cloud Control). MAWS is EC2 capacity in Prod and Corp and uses Auto Scaling Groups(ASGs). MAWS is provisioned using one Giant AWS account per region and VPC. 
3. Hailstone - Hailstone is a service that provisions EC2 capacity on Prod-connected VPCs and uses Host classes. Hailstone can be used in multiple Prod and corp connected VPCs per region where each VPC has its own account. Hailstone supports Prod/Corp hosts.

We maintain different services ( MAWS, HODOR) to enable the ordering and lifecycle management of these different types of hosts.

Making architectural changes in the tool (CTA) using AIDL so that more stability can be achieved , currently working in the IOT segment ( enabling the tool for LE  platform ) .

Worked as a part of tools team , developing a tool named CTA ( Comprehensive Test Application) which is used for automation testing and runs on the device side . It does all the functionalities which can be done manually ( making a phone call , data transfer , throughput , connecting to a web url) and runs over different OS's as well eg : Android , Windows , LE ( stripped down version of android eg : IOT) . We can trigger the test cases from PC side and can be run over multiple devices simultaneously ( used in case of conference calls) . This tool is also mainly used for stability testing i.e whenever a new component is developed, it is working properly with out any crash.

Worked with flexcube development in developing the Multi currency account , the first of it's kind where the user can maintain a single principal account for different currencies and has sub accounts for each currency . He can view the whole balance in any of the currency he wants . This feature is mainly used in Barclay's bank , Citi International , shanghai bank and many more banks in countries including Dubai , China , USA . We have developed this application using Oracle DB , Plsql , Java script.
