Hemendu Roy is a passionate Graduate Researcher with a strong background in programming and practical applications. He is currently working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University, where he is conducting research in the fields of 5G Network Slicing, Software Defined Networks, and Network Function Virtualization. Hemendu has over 2 years of relevant experience in the software industry. He has previously worked as a Software Developer and Cloud Engineer at Hewlett Packard, where he performed extensive debugging, memory optimization, and log analysis of Spark, Scala, Python, and Java applications. He has also developed Python and Ansible workflows for test automation, application deployment, and offline data analysis for testing of existing network insights. Additionally, he has led operational efforts to migrate AWS infrastructure and Hadoop clusters from multiple to single availability zones and port product deployment scripts to work with Ubuntu. Hemendu has a strong educational background. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at Arizona State University, which he expects to complete in 2023. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications Engineering from R. V. College of Engineering, Bangalore, where he graduated with first-class honors. He completed his CBSE in Computer Science from National Public School. Hemendu is skilled in a variety of technologies, including research science, software engineering, AWS, infrastructure, test, Hadoop, Python, Ansible, Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, Azure, Scala, and Java. He is currently seeking summer 2022 internship opportunities in the software space to further develop his skills and knowledge.
