Hena Ghonia is a graduate student at MILA and the University of Montreal, specializing in computer science and machine learning. With nearly three years of experience as a data scientist, Hena has a strong background in time series data analysis and modeling. Currently, she is interested in building systems that generalize well and are interpretable, much like how humans approach problem-solving. Hena's most recent experience was with Ecolab, where she worked as an Associate Data Scientist. During her time there, she worked on several projects, including pump efficiency prediction for controllers of 3DT Trasar technology for cooling towers, wearable analytics platforms, and customer attrition prediction on Ecolab institutional data. She also utilized Symbolic Multivariate time-series (SMTS) for modeling and data visualization through Microsoft Power BI. Hena has a strong educational background, having completed her Bachelor's degree in Information Communication and Technology from Ahmedabad University, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science and Machine Learning from the University of Montreal and MILA. She is expected to graduate in 2023. In terms of technical skills, Hena has experience as both a data scientist and research scientist. She is proficient in various programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, and has experience working with tools such as TensorFlow, Keras, and PyTorch. Additionally, she has experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
