Henri is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer - Marketplace at Uber. He has previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer - Maps at Uber and SiriKit Platform Software Engineer at Apple. At Apple, Henri worked on SiriKit, which allows 1st-party and 3rd-party applications to integrate with Siri. He made integrating with SiriKit easier by enhancing APIs and centralizing inside the platform logics that used to be rewritten in each of their customers’ apps. Henri also increased the accuracy of three machine-learned components: Speech, Domain Classifier, and Statistical Parser. He developed an internal tool that automates a manual task done by 30 engineers, saving 70 hours per week. Henri has experience working with Java, Golang, Cassandra, Kafka, MSSQL, C++, Ruby, Typescript, Python, PHP, Objective-C, and Postgres. He is also familiar with frameworks and tools such as Guice, Spring, Dropwizard, AngularJS, NodeJS, JQuery, and Ansible. Henri has worked with algorithms such as Kalman Filter, Dijkstra/A*, and Naive Bayes. He is also Agile and Scrum Master certified.
