Henry Lai is a seasoned IT professional with over 13 years of relevant experience in the field of computer engineering. Currently, he is serving as the Team Lead - Special Initiatives at TD, where he is responsible for leading technical and business aspects of Enterprise Risk Management Special Projects. He is a technical expert within the team, managing and implementing a variety of technological enhancements in collaboration with partners. Henry has worked with TD for a significant part of his career, holding various positions of increasing responsibility. As a Senior Analyst - Model Implementation, he was responsible for implementing and executing Basel models in support of various Canadian and US regulatory programs under retail risk management. He was also the 'iD8' Lead for a continuous improvement program across risk management. As an IT Solutions Developer III, he served as the technical lead for application projects and system enhancements, focusing on dual system environments: distributed and mainframe. He specialized in Retail Sales Revenue and Performance Strategy and Reporting and collaborated extensively with business and technology partners within and outside the company. He was also a mentor for contractors and new hires. Henry holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto, which he completed in 2009.
