Henry Lyford is a Senior Software Engineer and Tech Lead at Two Chairs, a mental healthcare company that is dedicated to revolutionizing the mental health system. With a mission to make exceptional mental healthcare accessible to everyone, Two Chairs combines expert clinicians, thoughtful technology, and user-centric design to provide personalized, data-driven therapy. Henry has over 12 years of relevant experience in software engineering and has worked with a variety of technologies such as Django, Docker, Elastic Search, and Spring. Prior to his current role, Henry worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Searchlight Technologies and Nimble, a Y-Combinator backed education startup. At Nimble, he was part of a lean two-person engineering team that built robust integrations with third-party services and implemented extensive new product features, including a candidate vacancy dashboard. Henry optimized the search routes to scale the API by limiting database queries, limiting data serialized and returned, and paginating where the UX permitted it. Henry graduated with honors from Claremont McKenna College with a B.A. in Economics-Accounting. He has a strong background in backend and UI development and is passionate about using technology to improve people's lives. Currently, Two Chairs is actively hiring engineering and clinical talent, and Henry encourages interested individuals to reach out.
