Henry Yip is a highly skilled Staff Engineer with over 10 years of experience in developing and implementing distributed platforms, systems, and applications. He has a strong background in Java multi-threaded server applications, REST API, and backend development. Henry's recent experience has been focused on distributed computing on big data, Hadoop, Yarn, Spark, Hive, ingestion, and data file storage. He is interested in working with data and building machine learning platforms with regressive, segmentation, predictive, and forecast algorithms that solve real-world problems. Currently, Henry works at Symphony CrescendoAI as a Staff Engineer, where he oversees, develops, and supports the integration of the Iris machine learning regressive, classification, predictive, forecasting application with anomaly detection on the Crescendo-ai platform. Before joining Symphony CrescendoAI, Henry worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Visa, where he led, coordinated, and oversaw US and offshore engineers on the REST and SOAP API development to provide merchant, cardholder, and related API searched data on HDFS, Hive, Hbase, and DB2 RDBMS.
