Herbert Lemus is a seasoned Fullstack Developer with over 8 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working at Qool Media, a System1 company, as a Fullstack Developer. In his current role, Herbert is responsible for designing, creating, and maintaining front-end tools and UI components, working with project stakeholders to design and build websites across multiple verticals, implementing and maintaining feature-rich web elements that are responsive and optimized for mobile experience, and organizing and maintaining the organization structure of code repositories. Prior to joining Qool Media, Herbert worked as a Web Developer at Perk.com and All Roads. At Perk.com, he fully developed custom WordPress themes from the PHP backend to style and functionality with SCSS/CSS/JS, built page templates following flats on Zeplin, created custom WordPress plugins for any needs, built Chrome extensions, maintained sites with keeping both WordPress and plugins up to date, and was part of the lunch/social committee and health and safety team. At All Roads, Herbert built custom WordPress themes from scratch and its functionality from account member's direction and PSD, customized WordPress plugins to better fit the website's needed features, QAed sites for bugs, load speeds, and responsive, maintained many different websites, kept websites up to date, fixed bugs, and made changes at the request of the account team, led website build by planning what needs to be completed each day and reported status to account team member in charge at the end of each day, maintained servers, kept them up and running, and made sure they are not overloaded, cross-browser tested, and documented and organized custom code. Herbert holds an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Computer Programmer Analyst from St. Lawrence College, which he completed in 2013. He is well-versed in various technologies such as Web, Mobile, UI, Frontend, PHP, Backend, test, and QA. With his extensive experience and expertise in Fullstack Development, Herbert is an asset to any team he works with.
