Het Shah is a highly skilled software development engineer with over 4 years of relevant experience in the field. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. Currently, Het is working as a Software Development Engineer at ShareChat, where he is responsible for building highly scalable distributed micro-services serving 50M DAU using Google Cloud Platform. He is working on discovery, content search engine features of ShareChat app. Het is also involved in working with different stakeholders to better understand the product along with its technological need and high reaching impact to efficiently manage critical operational excellence. Prior to his current role, Het worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Samsung R&D, where he worked on architectural design and implementation of next-generation Samsung Camera application features like Single Take shooting mode, On-the-fly ML classification of sensitive media filters to classify images and drastically improve quality, performance, and user experience. For this critical project, he moved to South Korea for six months. Het also worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at Samsung Device Camera (A & M series). Het has developed skills in multiple programming languages such as Golang, nodejs, java, etc., and has experience in ML applicability, architectures. He is well-versed in backend development, microservices, search, and mobile technologies. Het has also worked on projects related to computer vision, CNN, bag of words, NLP, and data visualization. He is familiar with tech stacks such as Kafka, Spring Boot, Spring, Neo4j, Kubernetes, Docker, MySQL, and MongoDB. Het is a research scientist at heart, and he loves to work on versatile software projects that require him to learn and apply new technologies. He is passionate about building scalable systems and solving complex problems. Het is a team player who is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure project success.
