Himadri Pandya is a Research Engineer at Inria with a passion for operating systems and a focus on Linux kernel research and development. With over 3 years of relevant experience, Himadri has a strong background in software engineering and machine learning. Himadri's current role at Inria involves researching and developing new features for the Linux kernel. He is fascinated by the intricacies of operating systems and is constantly exploring new ways to improve their performance and functionality. Prior to joining Inria, Himadri worked as a Linux Kernel Bug Fixing Mentee at The Linux Foundation. During his time there, he explored bugs in the USB subsystem, contributed to necessary API changes for fixes, and worked on clean-up tasks to propagate the new API changes with mentoring from Greg KH from The Linux Foundation. Himadri also gained experience as an intern at Philips, where he built machine learning models for predicting part replacement for Philips' Digital X-ray machines. Himadri holds an M.Tech in Information and Communication Technology from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Government Engineering College, Bhavnagar 021. He also has a background in science, having completed his HSC from Swaminarayan Gurukul, Bhavnagar, and his SSC from B.M. Commerce Highschool. In addition to his technical expertise, Himadri is a skilled research scientist and has experience working with machine learning. He is a dedicated and hardworking professional who is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow.
