Himanshu Gupta is a highly skilled and experienced software engineer and research fellow with a passion for web development, distributed systems, and deep learning. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he is also working as a full-stack developer and DevOps Lead at the Center for Youth Engagement. His current project involves developing a web/app-based product called HARTS, which is used by the police department for tracking and analyzing crime and mental health issues in and around Holyoke, Massachusetts. Himanshu has over 3 years of industry experience working as a Python and API developer at Citrix, where he leveraged agile and test-driven development methodologies to develop Flask Rest APIs for provisioning micro-services. He has also automated the CICD pipeline for a case management web application system called Shannon, by integrating Github actions with AWS Code deployment service to deploy dockerized Nginx server. Himanshu has a good amount of expertise in backend development with tech-stack that includes Python, Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Shell, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, AWS, Azure, Github, Linux, Docker, Lambda, and AWS Code pipeline. Alongside his professional work, Himanshu is also an accomplished musician and enjoys playing the guitar in his free time. He is also passionate about photography and loves going out on photo walks when he needs a break. Himanshu holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, and a High School degree from Kendriya Vidyalaya. He is actively seeking internship opportunities for summer 2022 across the United States. With his extensive industry experience and technical expertise, Himanshu would be an asset to any organization looking for a skilled and dedicated software engineer.
