Himanshu Kumar is a highly skilled Pivotal Software professional with over 11 years of experience in designing and developing complex systems using a wide range of technologies. With a distinguished background and knowledge of C, C++, Data Structure (Algorithms), Distributed systems, Python, Cryptographic key operations, Object-oriented design patterns, multi-threading, IPC, network protocol stack, including L2/L3/L4, Linux and RTOS OS internals, he is an expert in his field. Currently working as a Senior Member Of Technical Staff at VMware, Himanshu is responsible for designing and developing the VMware Workspace ONE Tunnel solution, a per-app VPN framework that allows end-users traffic through the Tunnel client iOS, Android, and Windows via Tunnel server to enterprise resources behind the firewall. Prior to his current role, Himanshu has worked with companies like Cisco and Pulse Secure, where he was responsible for designing and implementing network security components like SSH, PKI, AAA, NAT on IOS-XE. He has also worked on SSL VPN (Layer 7) solution/product, a web-based VPN technology designed on multi-process and multi-threaded architecture on the Linux platform implemented in C/C++, Perl as a high-level language. Himanshu holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Thapar University, where he completed his education in 2011.
