Himanshu Shekhar is a Software Development Engineer II at Flipkart with over 9 years of relevant experience. He is a passionate coder who loves to solve complex problems using different technologies. His career started with building a backend Java Web Application with Dropwizard framework, which allowed authenticated users to create and approve offers while maintaining the various states for the flow of the same. As time passed, he designed and built more complex applications in a distributed environment using different technologies like MySql, RabbitMQ, Hbase, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Apache Storm, and more. Apart from designing and building complex systems, Himanshu also likes to challenge himself to create generic systems that can onboard new functionalities with minimal code changes. He is always eager to learn new technologies to create robust systems. Recently, he has been working on Dockerizing and onboarding all services in his team onto Kubernetes. Himanshu has worked with Flipkart and Unisys in the past, where he has built and maintained applications used to create offers and identify differences between two machines based on system information, respectively. Himanshu completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology in 2014. He also has a pre-processed college alias, BIT. He completed his secondary education from Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School in Ranchi.
