Hitendra Singh is a highly dedicated and diligent learner who aspires to excel in the field of computer science and use its innumerable applications in metamorphosing this world. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Optum, UHG, where he independently developed a novel deep learning framework for detection and classification of COVID-19 using chest radiographs under Dr. Karan Verma. The model achieved an accuracy of 98.7% and is currently under revision for publication in the IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics. His responsibilities include ideation, project management, literature survey, implementation and experimentation, and research paper writing. Hitendra has won multiple hackathons, including the ASEAN India Hackathon 2021 and the Smart India Hackathon 2020. He is a Data Science and AI enthusiast with a strong background in computer science, having completed his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Delhi with a 9.94 GPA. Hitendra's past experience includes a summer internship at Optum, where he learned the latest technologies and received a pre-placement offer for his excellent performance. He also worked as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the National Institute of Technology Delhi, where he independently developed a novel deep learning framework for detection and classification of COVID-19 using chest radiographs under Dr. Karan Verma.
