Hitesh Bhatia is an experienced DevOps/SRE Manager with over 12 years of overall experience in Public Cloud, particularly AWS. He is currently the AVP Engineering - DevOps at Airtel Digital Limited, where he heads the DevOps team and has delivered on key DevOps pillars such as costing, telemetry, security, and platformization. Hitesh has managed infrastructure for India's biggest music app, WynkMusic, and India's premier OTT and Live app, AirtelXStream, and has seamlessly scaled for multiple high traffic events. Hitesh is an expert in Cloud Computing, DevOps/SRE Practices, Continuous Integration Continuous Deployments (CICD), Monitoring, Python, IAAC (Terraform), and Configuration Management (Ansible). He is a Certified Professional Solution Architect and has spoken at multiple conferences, including the AWS Innovate and AWS Summit Online India. Hitesh has also been featured on YourStory, where he shared insights on Airtel Digital's transition to microservices. Hitesh has delivered significant cost optimization and FinOps savings, achieving a cost optimization score of 96%, among the best in India. He has tracked and maintained cost KPI with scale and delivered savings of over $300K in monthly AWS billing in under 6 months. Prior to his current role, Hitesh worked as a Principal Engineer at Paytm, where he focused on highly scalable and robust architecture to support ML functionalities applied on petabytes of data being ingested daily. He also worked as a Chief Engineer (Project Lead) at Samsung, where he managed large-scale infra clusters with AWS and delivered automation and tooling around AWS.
