Hitesh Kumar is an innovation-driven technology executive with a passion for delivering results. With over three years of experience in the field, he is currently serving as the Principal Member of Technical Staff at BYJU'S. He is responsible for overseeing DevOps, Reliability Engineering, Security, and Cloud Engineering at the company. Hitesh has a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, multi-tenant, distributed logging systems. He has built log discovery and archival systems to store and retrieve logs and extended efforts to the Infosec team for in-house SIEM infrastructure. Hitesh has also conceptualized and built an in-house observability platform for real-time monitoring. He has led efforts to build a roadmap for self-serve internal developer platforms and built a tool that enables fine-grained rate limiting on ingested log events with alerting. Hitesh has also driven engineering recruitments during 2021-Present. Prior to joining BYJU'S, Hitesh served as a Senior Software Engineer at Toppr. He led efforts to increase cloud resource utilization by 5x and set up incident, alerting, and on-call management pipelines with third-party vendors. Hitesh has also built a tool to ingest high throughput WAF security logs and designed and built a tool to spawn, manage production-hardened K8s clusters. Hitesh holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, with a minor in Computer Systems from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He has a diverse technical skill set, including expertise in Golang, Bash, Kubernetes, WAF, OSS tools, Kops, Terraform, Kubernetes, Service meshes, APM, and more. Hitesh is a highly motivated and results-oriented professional who thrives on getting the most value for the time put in, keeping in mind the bigger goal.
