Hitesh Surana is an experienced DevQA professional with over 18 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently working as a Sr. Software Engineer at HGST, a Western Digital brand, he is responsible for automation of the ActiveScale object storage system. Hitesh has expertise in automation using Python 2.7, Selenium WebDriver, and unittest, and has developed the UI_Integration framework for Build Verification Tests covering backend verification of all Sanity tests. He is also proficient in using REST API for backend validation. Apart from automation, Hitesh has also worked on performance testing projects for SanDisk, iSCSI Certification with VMware ESXi5.x & Windows_iSCSI_Storage_Certification, and FusionIO. He has also worked on projects for Sun Solaris, VMware Inc., and Symantec. At Symantec, Hitesh worked as a Sr. SQA Engineer responsible for NetBackup test execution, I18N testing, Test Planning, Tracking & Reporting for NetBackup 6.5 features, and automation using Perl. Hitesh has a degree in Engineering from Shivaji University and is proficient in using tech stacks like Selenium, Jenkins, Python, Java, and more.
