Hrishi Joshi is a highly experienced Director of Engineering at Smartsheet with over 22 years of relevant experience. He is currently leading three teams at Smartsheet - WorkApps, Dynamic View, and API docs/SDKs. WorkApps is a No Code app development platform that allows users to design their own custom-tailored solutions for web or mobile without the need for any code. Dynamic View is a platform that enables customers to securely share the right information with the right people. Hrishi has also established the right team leads and managers to support the growing org structure, set quarterly launch goals for his teams while promoting agile development practices, and led AWS cost reduction, operational excellence, and high availability initiatives along with root cause analysis for issues. Prior to his current position, Hrishi served as a Senior Software Development Manager at Smartsheet where he launched a brand new product WorkApps from scratch within a year. He established a new team of engineers to design, develop, launch, and scale WorkApps to large enterprise customers of Smartsheet. He also participated in several customer research meetings and UX design sprints to refine the product experience and requirements. Additionally, he led architecture and design review discussions for three services, REST APIs, and choosing the right AWS technologies for WorkApps. Hrishi also managed a second team with the charter of Smartsheet API Docs and SDKs, collaborated with the product team for sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and retrospectives, and had ongoing demos to company leadership to bring transparency to product development status, feature set, technical direction, and hurdles. Prior to joining Smartsheet, Hrishi worked as a Software Development Manager at Amazon where he led a team of engineers on Alexa Blueprints team which owns the website, back-end service, and developer-facing tools to create Blueprints. He launched Alexa Blueprints to UK, Canada, India, Australia, Germany, and Japan and enabled other Amazon and 3p partner teams to develop Alexa blueprints. Hrishi holds an MS in Computer Science & IT from Capella University and a Bachelor's of Engineering in Computer Engineering from K K Wagh College of Engineering.
