Unified Portal – This project was about developing a web-based GUI framework that works with all the major database technologies. The administrator can configure screens that works against a database, define allowed operations (CRUD), define validations, define screen flow, define access control, etc. There was a GUI metadata database that hold all the configuration how the screen should appear on the GUI.

MIL BGAN POP2 – Extension of BGAN POP to include UTM (Unified Threat Management) capabilities. This majorly included integrating existing POP with FortiGate Firewalls and provide traffic management features like Packet Filtering, Web URL and Web Content Filtering, Application Filtering and Antivirus Filtering. It also provides customer traffic visibility through generating traffic statistics and displaying it on the GUI.

ISOL BGAN Backup Project – This was a disaster recovery management project and the goals were to be able to restore the services from backups in case of a disaster. It included rebuilding of BGAN POP infrastructure from backups on a remote site. The backup included configuration files, application binaries, log files and database. Real-time replication of all the backup files was implemented.

ISOL BGAN POP Releases – Inmarsat Solutions BGAN POP majorly consists of AAA Server, Admin and Customer GUI, Firewalls, Protocol Analyzer and few other components. There were various features implemented based on the BRs like providing software and hardware redundancy, providing local and geographical redundancy. I was part of designing and developing various redundancy solutions for ISOL BGAN POP.

Primary-Primary Radius – It was a research and analysis project for recommending the implementation of call state synchronization mechanism to provide geographically redundant AAA solution. A full state machine was prepared for both single site and dual site scenario for the analysis. Idea was to identify the Valid and Invalid states during a failure and the possible causes behind that. And finally come up with the problems that might occur due to invalid call states. The intention behind this analysis was to make a decision on whether company should go for the huge cost of Primary Primary Radius or not.

CrestelAAA Server - Worked with software architect in design and implementation of core libraries for any UDP based applications and extending the libraries for RADIUS and SNMP implementation. It was written from scratch and was re-architect-ed for high-performance. It included implementation of various RFCs like 2865 (RADIUS), 2866 (RADIUS Accounting), 2869 (RADIUS Extensions), 3579 (RADIUS Support for EAP). CrestelAAA Server had various features like mentioned below.

Responsible for executing performance benchmark tests using Spirent Landslide device and produce reports for Acceptance Tests for Indian Government telecom companies BSNL and MTNL.

Implemented various features in RADIUS
o Authentication of a customer against Flat Files, LDAP and Database.
o Support of various Authentication protocols – PAP, CHAP, EAP-MD5, EAP-TLS
o Authorization checks like account status and expiry, credit limit, concurrent login policy and access policy.
o Accounting CDRs generation to CSVs, Detailed Local Files and Database.
o Proxy mode.
o Resource Management – IP Pool and Concurrent Login Service
o SNMP Integration for monitoring the status and statistics

Bonrix Automation Engine – Used to automate daily complex and repetitive tasks. It was java-based desktop application and works with windows native library to execute recorded tasks. User can record tasks or write a script for a task. The software provided features like editing a task, input from CSV in a task, task script editor and was targeted for automated data entry.

Remote Computer Controls and Monitoring – Used for monitoring and controlling the machines over a LAN. It was a java-based application and used RMI with typical client-server architecture. The software provided features like monitoring the live screen, logoff, shutdown or restart the remote machine.
