Ibrahim Vanak is a Senior Software System Specialist (DevOps) at Hewlett Packard Enterprise with over 13 years of experience in the field. He is an expert in software configuration, build, release management, continuous integration, and delivery. He possesses strong communication and leadership skills and has extensive hands-on experience in creating robust, flexible, and automated solutions for build and deployment processes and environment management across multiple complex products at HPE. Ibrahim has a diverse technical skill set, including expertise in IBM Rational ClearCase administration, version control tools such as ClearCase, GIT, CVS, SVN, and StarTeam, and continuous integration tools such as Hudson/Jenkins and Electric Commander. He is proficient in languages such as Shell (Bash Scripting), Perl, Python, and Ant and has experience managing products using Kubernetes, Terraform, and other open-source technologies. Ibrahim also has experience managing application servers such as Apache, Oracle Web-logic, and Tomcat, as well as build scripts, automation, and managing build environments using various build tools. Ibrahim has worked on tools such as Jira, BitBucket, and Confluence and has expertise in build, deployment, release, and environment management. He has experience in branching, merging, and configuration of version control tools and has worked with various Docker components such as Docker hub, compose, and registry. Ibrahim has also managed app servers using ELK – Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana for debugging and logging and has managed environments running multiple ESXi (vmware) and vCenters for high availability. In his current role at Hewlett Packard, Ibrahim is working on HPC Systems, a KVM-based hypervisor platform for running a scaled-down version of proprietary software stack. He is also working on the security portfolio for the HPE-CRAY OpenSource CSM product, implementing various policies to ensure the integrity and provenance of container images in a Kubernetes cluster. Ibrahim has experience managing AWS cloud administration services such as EC2, VPC, S3, ELB, Autoscaling, AMI, Snapshots, IAM, RDS, Route 53, Cloud watch, SNS, Cloud trial, and Security Groups. Ibrahim's past experience includes managing build, release, and integration activities for HPE-Linux OS and managing various virtualization environments running VMware vSphere products for the build team. He has also managed HPUX development environment infrastructure with regular updates and security fixes.
