Imran Malik is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Oracle with over 9 years of experience in various areas of software Build, Release, Deployment, DevOps, Engineering Services, Infrastructure/Tools, Continuous Integration (CI), process development and improvement, source code management, branching, version control, etc. He has successfully introduced methodologies, infrastructures, and automation which helped enable software organizations to cut down development, build, test, and release times. Imran has implemented Blue-Green deployments using Jenkins, Canary deployments using helm/kubernetes and full automatic ability for rolling releases. He has worked collaboratively with Scrum teams, Development, Product Management, QA/QE, Engineering Management, DevOps, and Production Ops. In his previous role as a DevOps Engineer III at RMS, Imran worked closely in SRE team to own and provide technical solutions and services to the entire engineering team in areas of product quality and releases, deployments to production/staging/test environments, build engineering, CI/CD automation, new environment setup, source control management, branching, merging, versioning, etc. He successfully streamlined Sprint and Hotfix release processes to achieve higher product quality, better predictability, minimized risks, and SOC 2 compliance. He also hands-on deployed all product releases to test/staging/production environments using terraform, kubernetes and Jenkins (open-source products). Imran has a Master's degree in Computer Science from California State University - East Bay and another Master's degree in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University.
