Intesar Shannan Mohammed is a highly experienced technology professional with over 13 years of experience in the field of API security, cloud, containers, network security, machine learning, automation, and SaaS. Currently, he serves as the Founder and CTO at apisec.ai, an enterprise-class API security platform that provides on-demand and continuous security coverage and compliance reports for OWASP standards. With his risk-based security-first approach, enterprises can detect API vulnerabilities, prioritize them, and use best-practice advice to quickly fix or block them at the earliest points in the development cycle where costs are low and application dependencies are less complex. In addition to his current role, Intesar is also a member of the DevNetwork Advisory Board at devnetwork. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Engineering at hypergrid, where he helped the company move to a hyper-converged play by adding IaaS and PaaS support in DCHQ (HyperCloud). He also developed IaaS for Hyper-V/VMware-based hyper-converged appliances, developed Block Service on top of vSAN and Hyper-V, and designed and implemented Virtual Private Cloud on top of pfSense. He simplified the implementation of governance, quotas, and entitlements across the entire platform and implemented a self-service library for VMs, containers, volumes, networks, and applications. Intesar holds a Certificate Program in Blockchain Technology and Its Applications from Stanford University, a Certificate Program in Software Security from Stanford University, an MS in Computer Science from DePaul University, and a BTECH in Computer Science from jntu.
