Ishan Joshi is a Cloud Application Developer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) with a passion for solving real-world problems using his programming skills. He has worked on numerous side projects that have evolved into university-wide applications, and he thrives on working on projects that have a real-life impact. When he's not coding, Ishan enjoys playing cricket, cooking, and photography. Ishan's current role at Amazon involves developing cloud applications, and he has over 2.5 years of relevant experience in the field. Prior to joining Amazon, he worked as a Software Developer at Monash University, where he was part of the Mobile Team responsible for delivering the new official student application. His full-stack skills allowed him to build an authentication system integrating Okta and Firebase Auth for a seamless app development experience. He also implemented the first CICD pipeline for automated testing, build, and deployment to Play Store, enabling automated staged releases and management of user groups. Ishan's work on developing the application architecture following the MVVM pattern and setting up Analytics patterns to enable large scale user segmentation, AB Testing, and application monitoring was invaluable. He also spent a considerable amount of time enabling accessibility experience for vision-impaired users. Ishan was fortunate enough to work in the chatbot and experimentation team at Monash University, where he explored new ways of connecting services to customers. He worked with platforms like Salesforce, Live Agent, Google Dialogflow, Firebase, and Google Cloud. Some of his notable achievements include creating a wrapper for Salesforce Liveagent APIs in Python to create a seamless transition from bot to agent chat, prototyping a Digital ID concept Android Application using Host Card Emulation protocol to prove the viability of a concept idea, and creating a multi-source authentication system for an omnichannel chatbot to allow login through various methods like Okta, SMS, and Voice. Ishan holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Monash University and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Queensland Academies for Science Mathematics and Technology. He is proficient in AWS, Web, Android, Salesforce, test, Software Engineer, Mobile, UI, and Python.
