Ishan Ojha is an experienced Lead Software Engineer with a strong background in the internet industry. He has a demonstrated history of working with Data Structures and Algorithms, System Designing, Core Java, Ruby, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, and Amazon VPC. Ishan holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) focused in Computer Science from Uttar Pradesh Technical University. Ishan is currently working as a Software Engineer - L3 at udaan where he is engineering the sourcing side of the Supply chain using Kotlin, SQL, Cosmos, Redis, React, and Azure. He is also building a platform that is being used by Data scientists, data/product analysts, etc. at a massive scale to generate insights, build reports, train models, run data ingestion jobs, archiving huge tables, etc. This platform is a combination of Serverless components and REST API's, and he is using Kotlin, Python, React, Azure, Pyspark, databricks, Solr, and Redis for its development. Ishan has worked with several companies in the past, including sigmoid and stylumia, where he worked as a Software Development Engineer 2 (Data Engineering) and Product Engineer, respectively. At sigmoid, he worked on real-time data analytics at scale using Apache Spark and built data pipelines using multiple AWS technologies like Data Pipeline, EMR Cluster. At stylumia, he worked on large-scale distributed systems, improving the performance of existing systems by making the system highly available and fault-tolerant. He worked on technologies like MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and many more. Ishan is also an open-source contributor at the Public Lab organization.
