Currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at Synx.co, Israel leads and works with a globally distributed team of Data Scientists, Mathematicians, Physicists, DevOps, and Software Engineers to create enterprise-ready solutions for sectors such as Fintech, Finance, Banking, Aerospace, and Retail. He is responsible for data engineering done internally by him and plays a technical role in the implementation of best practices for system architecture and massive data pipelines with efficiency and safety. His expertise ranges from traditional ETL and heavy computation, processing up to petabyte-scale, and MLOps. In addition to his full-time role, Israel also does consultancy work or pro bono suggestions on technological developments in ONGs, Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, and Scientific Computing. He has co-founded companies such as digitizeme.io and xpats.bank, where he served as CTO and Co-founder and Data Scientist, respectively. At xpats.bank, he collaborated in the business strategy and definition of market segments for a new bank to serve digital nomads and international expatriates in the USA and Mexico. He used data science skills and finance tools to define new software features for savings, currency exchange, credit risk, and user experience. Israel's education background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Universidad Abierta y a Distancia de México, a Master of Business & Technology from Collective Academy, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications from Universidad de Colima. Additionally, he has studied German Language and Literature at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
