Jack Buss is a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Web, iOS, and Android development. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at The Workshop Sheffield, where he has gained experience in multiple disciplines of software development. Jack has worked with a wide range of technologies and languages, including PHP (Drupal, WordPress), Dart (Flutter), Swift (iOS), Java (Android), HTML, CSS, SASS, JavaScript, Open edX, Netlify, AWS, Google Cloud, and APIs (including Maps & YouTube). Throughout his career, Jack has worked with many high-profile clients, including the BBC, Disney, Nickelodeon, National Geographic, and Redwings, providing a multitude of different types of software. He uses Agile software development methodologies, mainly scrum, to ensure all projects are completed to an excellent standard. Jack also emphasizes client interaction to ensure that he is on track and working to the same specification as the client is expecting. Prior to working at The Workshop Sheffield, Jack worked as a Broadcast Engineer & Technician at Vinco, where he worked with clients such as the BBC, British Athletics, Loughborough University, and BUCS to provide action-packed sports coverage to viewers globally, on Live TV or webcast. He also worked as a Photo Finish Technician at City of Sheffield & Dearne AC, where he gained knowledge of different types of equipment and working with different people on almost every job. Jack holds a Software Development Level 4 degree from BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, and a Computer Software Engineering degree from The Sheffield College.
