Jacob Alfaro is a PMO Manager and Implementation Project Manager with over 16 years of experience in building strong relationships with hiring managers and teams. He is passionate about using recruitment and company culture as his toolbox to help companies reach their potential. Jacob has experience building a strong recruitment function and linking it to HR and company culture. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and has managed agency recruitment partners. Currently, Jacob is working as a Talent Acquisition Manager in the office of the CTO at Narvar, where he is responsible for engineering talent acquisition. Since returning to Narvar in June 2020, Jacob has hired 53 full-time employees for the company. He has hired for roles such as Directors of Software Engineering, Senior/Staff Software Engineers, Frontend, Senior Software Engineers, Ruby on Rails, Senior/Staff Site Reliability Engineers, Senior/Staff Data Software Engineers, and Technical Support Engineers. Jacob is also responsible for mentoring and leveling up new and existing team members. He has led training focused on sourcing and passive outreach and 1:1 training with teammates on how to effectively source using the sourcing and outreach tool, Findem. Jacob is the go-to person for all things Findem related at Narvar outside of the Findem support team. Prior to Narvar, Jacob worked as a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager at Plastiq, where he was responsible for full-cycle recruiting and passive candidate sourcing for Data Engineering roles. He also advocated, developed, and led training for the utilization of the Lever Nurture sourcing automation tool to increase top of the funnel pipelines. Jacob's education history includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Colorado Technical University and an Associates of Science in Computer Information Systems from Sullivan County Community College. Jacob's tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, Ruby, SRE, Frontend, Data Engineering, and designer. In his personal life, Jacob is an avid runner and competes in formal road and trail races around the US. He is most proud of his California International Marathon (CIM) marathon time of 4 hours 25 minutes.
