Jacob Radkiewicz is a highly experienced engineering leader with over 19 years of relevant experience in startups, growing engineering teams, and building large-scale systems. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of Engineering at ShipBob, Inc., where he is responsible for leading the company's engineering efforts. Prior to joining ShipBob, Jacob was a Software Engineering Manager at Uptake, where he was one of the three original engineering talents that helped build the big data/machine learning architecture for the Uptake platform. He played a key role in scaling the Uptake delivery pipeline, engineering onboarding, engineering principals, and practices rapidly to accommodate explosive growth. He was also a strategic player in prioritizing features, planning delivery, and choosing business direction while building Uptake to a $2 billion dollar valuation. He personally led the delivery and execution of the Uptake Wind Platform. Before Uptake, Jacob worked as a Software Architect Manager at Deloitte, where he was a key member of the software engineering team responsible for driving full life cycle application architecture, requirements, development, and automated testing. He was also responsible for coming up with enterprise high performance SOA solutions as well as communicating with heads of business units, key members of the development team, and other stakeholders. Jacob holds a BS in Technical Management from Devry and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming. He is a senior software engineer with expertise in big data, machine learning, and testing. He has a proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
