Jacopo Beschi is a passionate software developer with over 9 years of experience in building web applications using Ruby/Ruby on Rails. He also has hands-on experience in infrastructure management with Kubernetes. Jacopo is an active learner who enjoys stepping out of his comfort zone. He is a Gitlab Core Team member and OSS contributor. Currently, Jacopo is working as a Senior Programmer in the SIP team at Basecamp, where he is responsible for security infrastructure performance. Prior to this, he worked at iubenda in various roles, including Head of Engineering and Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead. In these roles, Jacopo led the engineering efforts and accomplished remarkable tasks such as building a new product from scratch, setting up CI, static analysis tools and DevOps automations, and co-leading the migration to Kubernetes. Jacopo's day-to-day workflow involves code reviewing, designing and developing new features from the ground up, interacting with both product and development teams, and participating in new candidate assessments. He mainly uses Ruby on Rails and is proficient in various tech stacks such as Ruby, infra, Web, Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer. Jacopo holds a Master's degree in IT Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in IT Engineering from the Università degli Studi di Brescia. With almost a decade of relevant experience, Jacopo is a seasoned professional who is always looking to learn and grow.
