Jaehei (Jennifer) Kim is a TRACK Software Engineer at General Motors with a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia Engineering. With 0.69 years of relevant experience in the field, she has worked with a variety of technologies such as CI/CD, test, and Jenkins. In her previous role as a Technology Team Member at Phi Chi Theta Zeta Chapter, Jaehei prototyped an internal dashboard tool with the MERN Stack to highlight important announcements or organizational information and web-scraped COVID related alerts. At Red Hat, as a Software Engineering Intern - R&D Product Storage (Ceph Storage Team), she developed an open-source tool to graph and analyze Ceph package build times in Brew, allowing developers to observe trends, verify results, and provide recommendations for higher efficiency. She also automated builds using CI/CD framework Jenkins to ensure functional environment setup and a connection to PostgreSQL database. Jaehei contributed to open-source projects such as updating documentation for “CEPH-CI,” a framework for testing Red Hat Ceph Storage product builds, and adding symlink for “dopkg tar” to add security. Jaehei has a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Linguistics from Boston University and completed her high school education at Winchester High School. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science from Columbia Engineering, which she is expected to complete in 2027.
