Jagadish Bihani is a highly skilled and passionate computer science graduate with over 13 years of experience in software engineering. Currently, he works as a Tech Lead at ThoughtSpot, where he handles challenges of distributed systems at scale, discovers and adopts architectural patterns for various use cases, and is involved in the review of every project's architecture in the organization. He has a knack for decision-making backed by solid rationale for any use case and is involved in the implementation of projects involving complexities and unknowns. Jagadish is well-versed in programming languages and follows the philosophy of knowing at least a couple of programming languages of different paradigms in depth. He is flexible enough to adopt one over the other in different contexts. His expertise lies in distributed applications backend developments, including implementing complex web applications and microservices using schedulers, message queues, distributed coordination, writing libraries and APIs, and making applications resilient to failures. He is also proficient in databases, both SQL and NoSQL, evaluating the right one for the use case, benchmarking, schema designs, and using them in applications, such as MongoDB, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, and HBase. Jagadish has experience in streaming processing with Apache Flink and Apache Storm and has worked on data platforms using modern open-source technologies. During his MTech project, he worked on file systems and added a feature of 'Deduplication during Garbage collection' in the UBIFS flash file system. He has a Master's degree in Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from Walchand College of Engineering.
