Jakshat Desai is an experienced Software Development Engineer with a strong background in Computer Science and Engineering. He has a Bachelor's degree from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. Currently, he is working as an SDE II at Amazon. Prior to Amazon, Jakshat worked at PhonePe where he was responsible for designing, creating, deploying, and maintaining the task and points system. He also worked on the development and maintenance of agent management service, competition QR management service, and merchant onboarding service. Jakshat made significant optimizations in the Merchant Service, which impacted the payments done through PhonePe. He worked on reducing the latencies, DB QPS, DB space consumption, and growth. He also worked on various miscellaneous projects involving image processing, manipulating geographic data, etc. Jakshat was also actively involved in interviewing SDE and PSE candidates during hiring drives. Before PhonePe, Jakshat worked as a Teaching Assistant at Coding Ninjas where he solved close to 150 doubts of students enrolled in the Interview Preparation in C++ course.
