Jakub Kaluzny is a highly motivated and experienced application security generalist with strong analytical skills and a technical background. He is currently working as a Principal Product Security Engineer at Snowflake, where he is responsible for leading innovative AppSec initiatives and IT security strategy. Jakub has a wealth of experience in the IT security industry, having worked in various industries such as banking, airline, law, and entertainment. He has hands-on experience in penetration testing of high-risk applications and has helped to drive "shift left" security programs across Poland and Australia. Jakub is also a speaker at various international IT security conferences such as BlackHat, HITB, OWASP AppSec, AusCERT, and Zeronights. He is the author of the Instant Threat Modeling video series and a security trainer and consultant. In the past, Jakub has worked as a Senior Security Consultant at The Missing Link, where he led one of the consultant teams, interviewed applicants, optimized processes, and worked closely with the sales team on expanding services. He has also worked as a Principal Security Consultant and Head of Secure Software Development at Securing, where he was responsible for new business development, consulting, and the secure software development consulting area. Jakub holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Computer Science from AGH University of Science and Technology and has completed his high school education in Algorithmics from 5th High School, Cracow.
