Jalaj Harkawat is a final year undergraduate student pursuing an integrated Master of Science in Mathematics & Computing at IIT Kharagpur. He is a problem solver, tech enthusiast, and Coder exploring the field of Data Science and NLP as well as in Software Development. Jalaj is the person in the group who likes taking initiatives regarding setting the stage for discussion, dividing work among people, and guiding everybody through the execution. Jalaj's field of interest involves Portfolio Management, Competitive programming, Machine Learning and Natural Language processing, Consulting (case-solving), Leadership, and Public speaking. He is a sports person too, keeping a keen interest in Basket Ball and Squash. Currently serving as Chief Sponsorship Manager of Gopali Youth Welfare Society, India's largest student-run NGO to help needy people around IIT Kharagpur. Jalaj has worked as a Co-Founder at ic2c, where he modelled a final algorithm for machine learning, software development, finance, and marketing to predict scores based on the resume. He has also analysed the performance of various models like K-means, deep NN like Deep Embedded Clustering, Agglomerative, and Birch for clustering. He has manoeuvred BS4, Selenium, scrapy, and a host of APIs like PhantomBuster for scraping 4L+ Google scholar profiles, 50k+ online courses, 3k+ LinkedIn profiles, 20k+ colleges from college Duniya and 30k+ companies, etc. for training and building the model. Jalaj is currently working as a Summer Intern at Mastercard, where he is working on confidential work. He has a relevant experience of 1.86 years. Jalaj's TechStack includes Software Engineer, AI, ML, NLP, BERT, Data Scientist, and Selenium. Jalaj is always excited for challenging opportunities and is happy to meet new people.
