Jalak Patel is a final year undergraduate pursuing computer science engineering at Manipal University Jaipur. With a keen interest in Data Structures and Algorithms, he actively participates in competitive programming contests. He is skilled in Web Development using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, NodeJS, and MongoDB, and has experience in Mobile App Development using the Flutter framework. Jalak is highly interested in exploring and learning about Blockchain technologies. Currently, he works as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon. Previously, he worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Cisco Webex, where he developed BPF programs to capture SIP messages and useful TCP statistics. He was also involved in microservice observability and socket filtering by attaching kernel-level C code to various system-calls using eBPF. Jalak has expertise in C (Kernel-space), Python, Go (User-space), and eBPF (Cilium and libbpf). He exported data directly from the kernel to analyze network metrics across services with less than 1% CPU overhead. Apart from his professional experience, Jalak also mentored juniors in the field of competitive programming and conducted coding contests as a Competitive Programming Mentor at IEEE CS MUJ. Jalak has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Manipal University Jaipur and completed his ICSE from Ryan International School. His tech stack includes Software Engineering, Blockchain, Web Development, JavaScript, MongoDB, Mobile App Development, Flutter, NodeJS, Microservices, and Python. With 1.19 years of relevant experience, Jalak is a highly motivated and skilled individual who is passionate about exploring new technologies and expanding his skillset.
